thought I may as well start this up and going. . .

http://yoyos.com.au/champs/

not many details at the moment, but it's always good to get the discussons going now, it'll give us intersaters time to have stuff like accom, travel, etc organised a bit better/sooner.

I know its a 6 or so months away, I mean I'd have gone to worlds and be back by then. . .

We still need compulsory videos. I offered a prize pack for the person who submits the most, but it didn't seem to draw much attention.

I can't give any confirmed venue details this early. It will be held on the Australia day weekend 26th/27th January.

Next year will be the start of attempting to set some national records. Longest sleeper, most double handed loops and any other categories you guys can help to come up with. We'll need 2-3 people to count those loops and time that sleeper.

Perhaps Skip and anyone else into yoyo mods would be up for giving a talk on the mod process, what tools are used, how and so forth.

Also if someone would like to bake some cakes and biscuits to sell at champs as fundraising material, that'd be great :D

I'm new to this, so please bear with me:

-First, are compulsory videos the videos with the compulsory tricks in them? I thought you have to do the tricks in front of a judge

-Second, what are the competition regulation yoyos? Does the yoyo have to be stock, or can it be modded?

I'm asking these because I'm planning to go... in 2 years time... :D . Thanks in advance

Juni, Go next year man! Dont wait.

1st. They are vids made to show the tricks, so people can learn them.

2nd. Any yoyo is fine.

I'd guess it'll be Australia Day and probably in Sydney again. . .

Hefty, I'm up for the same place although it would be nice if we could get somewhere that has power in the room and maybe a/c or at least fans that work?!? I think it was 42B though. . .
