ANYC Event Yo-Yo or Event T-Shirt

Postby yoboy » Mon Jan 26, 2009 12:35 am

For the 2009 ANYC (Australian National Yo-Yo Championships) i would like to organise an event Yo-Yo or/and an event T-Shirt.

First - is it a good idea.
Second - one or the other... or both

My thoughts....
- An Event yo-yo supplied free as part of your entry fee to compete. But the yoyo would need to be a good quality modern example to make it worthwhile (I will make sure it's not a crap yoyo). Any yoyos left over for could also be sold on Saturday/Sunday to the public.
- T-shirts and sizes are the pits to organise (but I will do it if there is enough interest)

Hit up the forum with your thoughts please....

Event yoyos are a good thing to have, but going by sales of the previous ones that were made up, they aren't an item that's in demand. Obviously if they're included in the entry fee that's a little different, but a very small run of them would be the go.

I mean, if anyone's interested Brad still has champs Element X and Blaze yoyos for sale (collectors items yo).

As for t-shirts, I'm not really too fussed personally. I don't wear any of my yoyo shirts about the town unless there's a meet on or I'm getting paid to yo-yo so they see a lot of cupboard time.

I'm not too fussed...

If there was an event yoyo I would probably get it if it was included in the entrance fee, but would probably give it a miss if it was extra - just because I'm saving money for my various travels this year.

A t-shirt is a cool idea, but again would it be something included in the entrance fee or will it be an extra cost as well?

one point is that as this will be a much more public event I think it may be a little easier to flog off the extra yoyos/tees to the random people.

I reckon an event yoyo would be cool, I'd definitely get one and ditto for the shirt. I'd love to have a yoyo shirt finally and I'd wear it frequently.

Somehow i've managed to collect a bunch of yo-yo related t's. You can never have too many though. Event yo-yo's are cool too. Free yo-yo's are even cooler though

No Event T-Shirts this year. Maybe next year.

There will be an ANYC 2009 YoYo (if they get here on time).
Heff - I never got your logo :(
