Next YoYo?

Postby Testercles » Mon Feb 16, 2009 5:27 pm

G'Day,

I've been thinking of upgrading from my FHZ probably after the Nats and was thinking about a YYJ Dark Magic.

I was wondering if everyone thought this was a good idea or had any other suggestions.

A dark magic would be a good choice for your next yoyo. I got a yyj x-convict and I like it but i find i play my plastic grind machine alot more now because it is more unresponsive and i like the feel of it better. If you can bind or are willing to learn how 2 bind I would get a plastic grind machine. Its cheaper aswell!

P.S. Just letting u know I am pretty new to yoyoing so u shouldn't listen to me!

Plastic grind machine is a pretty solid player, I would recommend it over any YYJ except maybe a night moves.

There will likely be TWO Nationals yoyo for sale. One intermidiate, and one advanced. Both would be a good purchase as they are different in almost every way. Two good yoyos to add to the collection.

Not sure If im allowed to say which though.

Which yoyo really depends on how much your will to spend...

but every suggested yoyo so far is good. YYJ's all come responsive except for the legacy, but they can easily be made unresponsive - all they need is a cleaned (and slightly lubed if desired) bearing and if ya want replace the o-rings with some silicon. All this can be done at Nats for ya if ya want.

PGM is a nice yoyo to, comes unresponsive, plays nice and all that, but if you want a metal yoyo you won't be wanting one of these.... as it plastic

Werrd... well its the bomb and if ya got the $$ get one... nuff said

Hmm, I think...

I might get both Nats yoyos, they'd be awesome to start a collection with and perhaps.
I'm also thinking of getting both a Dark Magic and a Werrd XXXXL. I can't decide if I like the satin of the 88MPH or the polish of the Naked yet though...

But yeah I think I'll get them after the Nats.

Smart move man. Come to nats, throw some yoyos you haven't thrown yet, then chose.
