Does Australia need another yoyo competition?

Postby Yozilla » Mon Apr 13, 2009 11:55 am

After the success and massive turnout to the nats this year i'm sure i'm not the only one thinking 'it sucks to wait another year for a comp'. Do you guys think we have enough demand for another comp?
I'm not neccesarily putting my hand up to run one, but it's something I might consider if people are interested.

I think we're all a little bit spread out for there to be any reason to run say, state competitions (just yet) and I don't think there's any call for another national event. I know for me, travelling once a year is enough for my budget.

As much as I would like another comp this year. It would just be to hard to alot of people for various reasons. But hey, if it was in Melbourne, that would be no problem!

doesn't need to be a compulsories+freestyle comp...

coogee classic that ben organised in 2002 or thereabouts, 10 tricks determines winner. at that time i think it was the proyo advanced tricks

there's always fast challenge. like compulsories, the judging is not subjective, and you don't need a pair of clickers and eyes dedicated times 3.

the problem is always 1) finding people who do want to compete 2) finding a prize for the winner (although mick has plenty of bmw yoyos)

Yeah, I may even be able to throw in a few Boral yoyos.

My sponsorship is king.

All I want is a big picture of me doing a thumbs up on any promotional material
