It's a bit quiet...

It's time to start some controversal discussion

What do you think of aluminum vs plastic yo's?
personally I think aluminum is a total waste of money, plastic ones play just as good if not better in most cases.

Also while im bitching -Friction stickers!!!
I hate these things they are such a nuisance, it seems like you just break a yo in and it's worn out already. Why do some of the best companies insist on using this system???

Cool, hope this starts some good discussion.

i like difs personally, and if i had my way every yoyo would come with recessed silicon (tackie already knows)

I like both metal yoyos and plastic ones.
Metal grinds like crazy, most come with finger grind lips, so i love it in that instance, but plastic are great for all round out-and-about play. ne1 else agree?

I don't really have a preference when it comes to metal vs plastic. I've only ever tried a difeyo sportster which I wasn't too keen on due to it's reduced diameter. I should be getting one of the new yyf 401ks soon so I'll see how that plays. The only real drawback I can see with the aluminium yoyos are the knuckle smarts I will no doubt get from a bad return or two.

I use duncan friction stickers and don't mind 'em, once they're worn to the fabric that is. I need to get myself a punch so I can make em yyj large bearing size. It's a hassle cutting them out by hand.

Personally, I think hybrid yoyos outplay plastic yoyos purely due to wieght distribution.

Metal yoyos are good, but that all depends on personal preference and on what company makes them.
Im not much of a diff fan but ill gladly throw a YYF. They kick serious ass.

Friction stickers are good imo.
On stock yoyos ill admit that they can be a pain to break in and then replace due to them wearing out quickly.
But if that happens to become too much of a problem, recessed freehands work a treat.
Plus nothing opens up a bigger suicide loop that a FS.
Also, friction stickers have their place. Just remember that duncan friction stickers arent the only ones available, so they make any yoyo pretty customizable. ;)
